Property managers can block and unblock rooms using the OYO OS. Blocking refers to a room not being available to be sold due to its physical condition; pertaining to repair and maintenance or a fault in the infrastructure of the room.

Things to Note:

  • Blocking cannot be done when a room is checked in.

  • A block cannot be overlapped, i.e. a room cannot be blocked twice for the same date.

As default, AGM/ captain/ OPS Manager approval will be mandatory for blocking the rooms through HMS.

A room can be blocked by following the steps below:

Step 1: From the Home screen of the OYO OS, click on the Rooms tab.

Step 2: In the rooms section, click on the Block Room Details button.

Step 3: On the Block Rooms Detail page, click on Block rooms.

Step 4: After completing Step 3, follow the below steps:

    i. Select the rooms that need to be blocked.

ii. Select the dates for which the blocking is required.

iii. Select a reason for the blocking request.

iv. Click on Block Now, an approval request will be sent to Captain/ AGM/ Ops Manager

The rooms will be blocked from check-in for all dates including the start and end date as updated by the PM in the Step ii.

Step 5: Once the Captain/AGM/Ops Manager has approved or rejected the blocking request, a notification will pop up on the OYO OS.

Please contact your property AGM in case any other clarifications are required.
