Overview

OYO OS allows its users to modify guest details and booking dates in very simple steps. Extending a booking or even shortening a booking can be done in no time, also the system helps you know the cost involved. Keep reading to learn this feature in detail.


Usage Limitations

  • Check in date cannot be modified if the guest has already checked in or the check in date has passed.

  • For bookings created through OYO App, modifying dates to shorten a stay is not possible. However, extending dates can be done for such bookings.

  • ‘Modify’ option is only available for ‘Walk In’ and ‘Migrated’ bookings.

  • ‘Modify’ option is not available for multi room category booking. Refer to the image below.


Open your Booking

  • In OYO OS, click open a booking from ‘Bookings’ tab on the left.


  • Your booking will appear as below. Notice the ‘Modify’ option in Red.


Extend the Booking

  • After opening the booking with the above steps, click on the ‘Modify’ option and ‘Modify Booking Dates’ screen will appear as below.


  • Select the new check-in date and then the check-out date

Note : In the image below, stay has been extended by one day. Notice the ‘Updated Dates’ section. 

    

  • Once you have selected the dates, check the applicable ‘Additional Charges’ and ‘Updated Price’. Then, click ‘Done’.

    Note : Check in date cannot be modified once the date is passed.


  • Booking confirmation window will appear as below. 


Shorten the Booking

  • After opening the booking with the above steps, click on the ‘Modify’ option and ‘Modify Booking Dates’ screen will appear as below.


  • Select the new check-in date and then the check-out date

Note : 

  • In the image below, stay has been shortened by two days. Notice the ‘Updated Dates’ section. 
  • Bookings created through OYO App cannot be shortened.

    

  • Once you have selected the dates, check the applicable ‘Reduced Charges’ and ‘Updated Price’. Then, click ‘Done’.


  • Booking modification confirmation message will appear as below.
